Job SummaryCollaborates with suppliers to assure the quality of their products, materials, components and/or operations. Monitors supplier performance and supports efforts to develop and implement changes to improve the production process. Follows up with suppliers on quality deviations and ensures that solutions are identified and implemented. Identify and mitigate supplier risks.Impact of the RoleGeneral Profile

Essential Functions
  • Focuses on planning, organizing, and reporting on supplier provided raw materials, designed/manufactured goods, and packaging materials to ensure they meet or exceed requirements.
  • Verifies and validates that suppliers have received and understand engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
  • Monitors & audits quality control activities and systems at supplier and subcontractor facilities.
  • Ensures programs are in place to improve supplier performance and productivity.
  • Reviews and analyzes corrective action reports to reduce/eliminate defects.
  • May perform root cause investigations into quality issues.
Required Qualifications
  • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree - Discipline/Major: Quality, Manufacturing or related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience in DoD/DoW product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test and delivery.
  • General knowledge of industry technical standards (ANSI, SMMI, ASTM, etc.)
  • Experience reviewing Statement of Work (SOW), Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR), knowledge of Purchase Order Quality Requirements.
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100 quality management systems and FAI Standard AS9102
  • Working experience leading teams in failure and root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions
  • Interpreting schematic drawings and hardware inspection techniques.
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Technical expertise. Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills. Problem-solving skills and leadership skills. Issue Resolution. Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
