Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Associate to join their Quality team on Swing Shift. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and quality of precision-machined components throughout the manufacturing process.

The ideal candidate will have a strong machining background, extensive knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), and hands-on experience using precision inspection equipment. This position is responsible for performing detailed inspections on first articles, in-process components, outsourced parts, and final production pieces before shipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where attention to detail and quality are essential.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform final quality inspections on completed production parts before they are sent to outside vendors or customers.
  • Inspect and verify outsourced parts upon return to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) on new and revised parts.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications using GD&T principles.
  • Verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instruments.
  • Identify and document non-conforming materials or processes.
  • Work closely with production personnel to maintain quality standards and resolve issues.
  • Ensure inspection records and quality documentation are completed accurately.
  • Follow established quality procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts throughout the manufacturing process.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Strong understanding and practical application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Previous experience in a machining, tooling, manufacturing, or precision machine shop environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment, including:
    • Calipers
    • Micrometers
    • Height Gages
    • Pin Gages
    • Other inspection tools
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong attendance and reliability record.
  • Ability to follow established processes and directions.
  • Team-oriented attitude with the ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities.

Preferred

  • Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) experience.
  • Quality inspection experience within CNC machining or precision manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with First Article Inspection documentation.
    • Experience working for similar precision machining manufacturers

Not a Fit:

Candidates whose experience is primarily in semiconductor, wafer fabrication, PCB assembly, or Intel-style cleanroom manufacturing environments without machining experience may not be the best match for this role.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently lift and move up to 40–50 pounds.
  • Push and pull material bins throughout the facility.
  • Stand, walk, bend, and perform inspections throughout the shift.

PPE Requirements:

  • Long pants required.
  • Closed-toe shoes required.
  • Additional PPE provided as needed.

Training:

Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.
