Quality Control (QC) Inspector - Rail Manufacturing
Full-Time
We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Inspector to perform inspections on parts and sub-assemblies in a rail manufacturing environment. This role ensures all components meet quality standards and conform to engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections on parts, sub-assemblies, and full rail cars
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and combination squares
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Document inspection findings accurately and thoroughly
  • Conduct inspections across multiple phases, including receiving, fabrication, assembly, truck testing, interior/exterior, and under-floor components
  • Identify non-conformance and report issues for corrective action
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of QC inspection experience
  • Proficiency with measuring instruments and inspection tools
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment
  • Physical ability to climb stairs/ladders and lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs
