Description
PCB Manufacturing QC Inspector
Scope:
Responsible for inspecting and evaluating final products to ensure full compliance with customer specifications, internal quality standards, and regulatory requirements prior to delivery. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product integrity, customer satisfaction, and adherence to industry standards.
Essential Job Function:
  • Demonstrate the ability to accurately complete AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) Reports in accordance with industry standards.
  • Perform detailed final inspections on finished products to verify compliance with customer requirements, engineering specifications, and quality standards.
  • Read, interpret, and analyze customer drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Conduct precise measurements using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and pin gauges to validate product conformance.
  • Perform rework activities as appropriate, which may include mask touch-up, controlled material removal using an X-Acto knife, burnishing, use of soldering irons, final finish brush plating, and sanding, while maintaining strict quality standards.
  • Verify and document the acceptability of reworked products to ensure they meet all required specifications prior to release.
  • Identify, document, and clearly mark non-conforming products to prevent unintended shipment to customers, ensuring adherence to quality control procedures.
  • Prepare standard inspection documentation and AS9102 First Article Reports as required, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and traceability.
  • Review and verify certifications and quality reports to confirm they are complete, accurate, and suitable for final product acceptance and certification.
  • Complete all customer deliverables, ensuring documentation packages are accurate, organized, and fully compliant with contractual requirements.
  • Maintain department logs, record yield data, and support continuous improvement initiatives through accurate data entry and reporting.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks as defined by the department maintenance schedule to ensure equipment reliability and inspection accuracy.
  • Provide cross-functional support to other work areas or departments as required by production demands or management direction.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work overtime as requested to meet production schedules and customer commitments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment in accordance with company standards and best practices.

Requirements
Essential Qualifications, Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 quality management systems and standards.
  • Strong work ethic with a high level of accountability, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods while performing detailed visual inspections and manual tasks.
  • Strong fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination required for precision work.
  • Ability to use microscopes for extended periods while maintaining focus and accuracy in performing job duties.

This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
