Astura Medical is quality driven, surgeon inspired, and innovative medical device company. We have a robust distribution channel combined with passion and innovation to drive our teams to achieve great success with developing medical devices and entering them into the spinal implant marketplace. We're centrally located in Irving, TX, near the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, and we offer a collaborative work environment with casual dress and work-life balance. This position reports to the office 5-days per week and we do not have remote or hybrid opportunities. Only local candidates will be considered as we do not offer relocation assistance.


Job Description


Astura's QC Inspector will perform various inspection techniques of medical devices. This position will report to the Quality Assurance Manager.


Job Responsibilities


Mechanical measurements using; micrometer, caliper, comparator, misc. gauges.

Visual inspection using finish gauges

Functional inspection using hard gauges

Documenting and processing of inspection data and documentation

Requirements

Qualifications


Understanding of measurement techniques and metrology: Caliper, Micrometer, Pin Gauges, Block Gauges, Optical Comparator

Good arithmetic skills required

GD&T experience is desired

Detail oriented

Organized

Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office Products: Excel, Word

Must have good English written and verbal communication skills

Experience in medical devices or aerospace is desired


Education and Experience


Minimum of 3 years in all job responsibilities listed above (proficiency test will be conducted)

High School Diploma or equivalent


Wage

$23-$25/hr
