Overview

The QC Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the project-specific Quality Control Plan (QCP) to ensure all work, materials, and installations comply with contract specifications, drawings, and building codes. They act as the primary liaison for quality issues with the field team and subcontractors, aiming to prevent defects and minimize rework.


Responsibilities

  • QC Planning: Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Control Plan (QCP) and QC checklists.
  • Inspections & Testing: Execute the three-phase inspection system (Preparatory, Initial, Follow-up) for all work activities.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare, submit, and review daily inspection reports, submittals, and test records to ensure accuracy.
  • Non-Conformance Management: Identify, document, track, and resolve non-conformances (deficiencies), ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Material Compliance: Inspect and verify that materials and equipment delivered to the job site meet project specifications.
  • Safety Coordination: Collaborate with the safety manager to align QC inspections with OSHA and project safety standards.
  • Subcontractor Oversight: Ensure subcontractors follow approved procedures and standards.
  • Closeout: Manage project final inspection, punch lists, and warranty documentation.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in construction quality control or project management.
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or relevant field (or equivalent field experience).
