The Steel Network, Inc (TSN) is a leading national manufacturer of light steel framing building products. TSN is seeking to hire a Quality Control Specialist to join our team. Position Overview: Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with advanced steel fabrication equipment, including roll-forming, press-breaks, lasers, welding, and more. The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for performing inspections in various areas. Logging and tracking information. Calibration of measurements devices. Assisting with investigations if Quality issues arise.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Inspecting incoming materials.
  • Inspecting parts during the manufacturing process.
  • Inspecting orders before they are shipped.
  • Monitor processes during incoming material inspection, manufacturing, and shipping/receiving.
  • Measurement Device Calibration
  • Document nonconformities found during operational processes.
  • Support investigations to determine the root cause of nonconformities, document the root cause, required correction, corrective action, and preventative action.
  • Prepare certification reports for orders.
  • Monitor safety in the work environment.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent mathematical skills with full understanding of fractions.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • Extremely detail oriented and self-motivated personality.
  • Ability to work well with others or solo on projects.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Products.
  • A basic knowledge of light steel framing practices.
  • Reliable transportation is a must along with being punctual.

*Steel-toed shoes are required. Hearing and eye protection are provided by the employer.
Experience and Education:
  • High School Degree or Equivalent.
  • Experience using measuring devices such as Dial Calipers, Micrometers, Squares, and Protractors.
  • Experience operating metal forming equipment.
  • Product Drawing reading
  • Understanding of metal forming equipment limitations and capabilities.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to maintain and promote positive morale.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.

Work Schedule: First Shift, Monday-Friday, from 8:00 AM-4:30PM. With the opportunity of working overtime if needed.
