Position Overview
The Inspector - 2 role is a key position within Halo Technical Solutions Global's quality and commissioning team, responsible for performing advanced electrical and multi-trade inspections on large-scale industrial construction projects. This role ensures installations meet quality standards, code compliance, and design intent through independent inspections, technical verification, and testing oversight. Operating in fast-paced environments such as data centers, manufacturing facilities, and other mission-critical infrastructure, this position also supports quality documentation, contractor coordination, and mentoring of junior inspectors.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform independent electrical and multi-trade inspections across all project phases
  • Verify installation methods, materials, workmanship, and overall system compliance
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and engineering documents to validate design intent
  • Conduct dimensional, alignment, and installation verification checks
  • Witness and validate FAT/SAT, startup, and commissioning activities
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and manage NCRs through closure
  • Maintain complete QC documentation and provide weekly summary reports
  • Review submittals, shop drawings, certifications, and mock-ups for compliance
  • Identify field-to-design conflicts and support RFIs with technical recommendations
  • Coordinate with contractors and commissioning teams to resolve quality issues
  • Participate in project meetings as a technical quality representative
  • Mentor Level 1 Inspectors and support QA/QC procedure development
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, safety requirements, and support AHJ inspections

Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of electrical inspection experience
  • Background in electrical construction in industrial or large-scale commercial environments
  • Experience with conduit, cable tray, terminations, panels, and switchgear
  • OSHA 10 prior to site arrival
  • Journeyman Electrician License
  • NFPA 70E certification required (may be completed upon site arrival or within first month of employment)
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
  • Working knowledge of NEC and applicable codes
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
  • Experience on data center, manufacturing, or mission-critical infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes and turnover documentation
  • Experience with QA/QC platforms (ACC, CxAlloy, or similar systems)
  • Exposure to multi-trade coordination and complex field workflows
  • Experience supporting electrical QA/QC execution in fast-paced construction environments
