Quality Control Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect parts and materials for defects and nonconformities according to set standards and specifications
  • Document inspection results, measurements, and findings accurately
  • Interpret and review technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure product conformity
  • Assist operators with equipment setup and quality checks as needed
  • Identify and report quality issues or trends and suggest corrective actions
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment compliant with company policies
  • Participate in quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in quality control or a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Basic knowledge of measuring tools, such as tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and protractors
  • Understanding of measurement principles and quality standards
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, drawings, and blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good verbal and written communication abilities
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and report preparation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary training in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis methods (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram)
  • Previous experience with metal fabrication processes
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
