What You Will Do:
As an Inspector, you will follow Korry procedures to inspect processes and products from our production line. Will perform manual and clerical duties and use computer to track, log, verify, and report the inspection results. The inspector will review the requirements, and will use various measuring devices to perform required inspections, and will determine if processes and products meet all customer and regulatory requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Understand and follow the established inspection processes based on area assigned.
  • Product Inspection:
    • Inspect product while using common measuring equipment including, but not limited to: CMM, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, radius gauges, surface plates, Go No-Go pins.
    • Review all paperwork required by the Job Order for completeness and accuracy.
    • Review provided first article reports for completeness per AS9102.
    • Review any Discrepancy reports on previously produced products. Note discrepancies, stated causes, and corrective action. Use this information to indicate possible problem areas.
    • Write clear Discrepancy Reports if parts are rejected.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies and write clear discrepancy reports if inspected item is rejected.
  • Collaborate with partners in operations, customer service, and planning to resolve issues.
  • Performs special projects/tasks as assigned

Preferred Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Experience
  • Minimum 2+ years relevant experience

Preferred Specialized Skills and Abilities
  • Product Inspection:
    • Knowledge of shop mathematics, blueprint reading, geometric tolerancing and SPC.
    • Working knowledge of common inspection, measuring equipment, including, but not limited to: CMM (coordinate measurement machine), micrometers, calipers, height gauges, radius gauges, surface plates, Go No-Go pins.
    • Able to interpret drawings and part specifications, review and understand Job Order requirements.
  • Good understanding of AS9100, AS9102 standards requirements (standardized quality management system) and experience working within aerospace industry.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities, willingness to learn and receive training.

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent use of personal computers, database and digital platforms, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and computer printers.
  • Frequently uses hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, touch or feel equipment, materials, and computer.
  • The person in this position needs to frequently move inside the office
  • Frequent close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasionally use of steps, or ladder.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Salary Range
Please note the typical hiring range is $25.13 - $34.00 hourly. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
