Are you ready to build a career driving product quality and performance across a national manufacturing company?
The QUIKRETE® Companies is seeking a motivated individual to join our team at our state-of-the-art Engineering & Technical Center in Johns Creek, Georgia. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will lead efforts ensuring our products consistently meet Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) performance standards - from raw material qualification through finished product development, while supporting our manufacturing facilities, sales teams, and customers.
What You'll DoAs a senior member of our Quality Assurance team, you'll lead and support initiatives that impact product quality, consistency, and cost across our operations.
  • Utilize process and quality data and statistics to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Evaluate product issues using RCA and CAPA to correct and prevent future issues.
  • Establish quality specifications and QC protocols.
  • Evaluate finished product QC & QA test results to ensure compliance with internal and external specifications.
  • Design and oversee laboratory experiments to qualify new raw materials and suppliers.
  • Optimize plant formulations for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Support manufacturing plants through troubleshooting, QC training, and formula management.
  • Lead manufacturing quality audits.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, or a related discipline.
  • An advanced degree or commensurate training and experience with six sigma and lean.
  • Experience with manufacturing and formulation of cement, concrete, mortars, or other cement-based construction materials, adhesives, or other polymer-based construction materials preferred.
  • 10+ years' experience in Quality Assurance or related area.
  • 2+ years' experience managing QA Engineers and Technicians.
  • Strong problem-solving ability using logic and reasoning to evaluate solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize work based on business impact and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with diverse teams.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must have soft skills necessary to influence without formal authority.
  • Ability to manage longer-term projects alongside routine responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure product integrity from raw material sourcing through shipment.
  • Champion a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Maintains a positive attitude in fast-paced environments and adapts readily to change.
  • Exhibits strong initiative and a willingness to support team goals.
