Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for ensuring products meet established quality standards and specifications. This is an entrylevel role suitable for individuals looking to start a career in quality control. This position will involve performing various inspections, tests, and analyses throughout the production process to identify and address any deviations from quality standards. The objective will be to maintain high-quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements, contributing to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.       
 

SHIFT HOURS Monday - Thursday 6:30 AM to 5:15 PM (45-minute lunch break)                    

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Perform incoming and in-process inspection.
  • Work with production personnel to ensure production and shipment of quality products
  •  Knowledge of all production processes and their associated standards.
  • Perform in-process and end-of-the-line product inspections and document findings in the database.
  • Maintaining and improving quality inspection processes..
  • Use standard measuring equipment.
  • Differentiate between critical and non-critical dimensions and specifications on technical specifications.
  • Communicate with Quality Manager and line supervision when there are findings to determine levels of risk.
  • Work with production personnel to ensure production and shipment of quality products.
  • Maintaining and improving quality inspection processes.
  • Maintain calibration system, write work instructions, assist in training, and implement action plans towards achieving established IATF quality objectives and business goals. 
  • Pack out products once assessed and approved from a quality standpoint

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree preferred
  • 1-2 years manufacturing experience preferred.

Required Licenses

  • None

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Skilled in inspecting.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
