Monday - Friday Day Shift
Position Summary:
Seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Temporary Associate Quality Control Analyst (QC). This role will support the quality of our products. This position must be able to prioritize to ensure schedule and goals are met. Responsible for ensuring performance testing meets data specifications. Perform all duties using safety conscious practices. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about quality and continuous improvement within a manufacturing industry.
Primary Duties:
• Test product lots as scheduled in an efficient manner per procedures and specifications.
• Performs environmental monitoring, subculturing and identification of organisms.
• Initiate Quality Event reports (QEs) for Finished Good testing and Environmental Monitoring Program.
• Initiate QC OOS Investigations.
• Supports continuous improvement processes in QC and replenishment of QC supplies using lean standards (5S).
• Support QC and special projects that may arise in other departments as requested by management.
• Promote a safe workplace by identifying potential hazards, wear appropriate PPE, and review safety procedures regularly and how to integrate them into daily activities.
Training and Education:
• Bachelor's Degree
• 0-3 years of experience in quality control, or related field.
5+ years of experience accepted in lieu of degree and type.
Experience:
• Requires a 4-year degree in biology or related field and 0-3 years of experience in quality control, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Requires strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Must have a knowledge of GMP compliance.
• Must be able to demonstrate flexibility in responding to unexpected demands. Must also be able to work in team environment, building effective working relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Makes decisions based on defined guidelines and procedures. Performs trouble shooting and applies problem solving skills to determine cause of problem areas.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods.
Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like.
Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day.
Excellent personal hygiene and appropriate PPE is required in production and laboratory areas.
May operate in an environment with cool temperatures, low humidity, constant noise, or with occasional environmental odors.
