Job Description Position Summary The Quality Control Analyst I supports software quality assurance initiatives across enterprise technology projects and systems. This role is responsible for executing testing activities, validating system functionality, documenting defects, and supporting software delivery efforts to ensure applications meet business and technical requirements. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating with cross-functional technology teams in a structured development and testing environment.

Key Responsibilities Execute quality assurance testing activities across software development projects and technology initiatives Participate in business, technical, functional, and design requirement reviews to support test planning Develop test cases, write and maintain test scripts, and estimate testing completion timelines Prepare and locate test data to support test case execution and validation requirements Execute test scripts and achieve testing goals established by project leadership Validate system changes across testing environments and confirm environment readiness for QA activities Collaborate with development teams, automation engineers, and project teams to support test strategies and execution plans Identify, document, validate, and track software defects through resolution and retesting processes Support troubleshooting efforts and participate in defect analysis discussions with development teams Document testing outcomes and maintain accurate records using approved QA tools and systems Participate in project meetings and provide status updates as requested Assist with post-implementation validation and production support testing activities Support training initiatives related to QA tools, testing practices, and operational procedures Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies across QA functions Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Business, or equivalent education and experience Minimum one (1) year of experience supporting Information Technology, Enterprise Technology, financial institution, or similar environments Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance principles and methodologies Familiarity with structured development, testing, and production environments Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project or equivalent platforms Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively within team environments and meet project deadlines Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Strong attention to detail and accountability Preferred Qualifications Experience with testing and test management tools such as HP ALM (Quality Center) or similar platforms Experience participating in technology or business projects with limited supervision Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and testing best practices Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational optimization Self-motivated with strong time management and prioritization skills
