Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be organized, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This person should be able to manage multiple quality-related priorities, maintain accurate records, support production teams, and help drive timely resolution of internal and customer-related quality concerns.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to support production by maintaining quality tools, supporting inspection and quality system activities, and helping ensure customer and internal requirements are met. This role provides technical support in areas such as inspection, statistical process control, problem-solving, customer standards, specifications, calibration, laboratory requirements, and quality system compliance.

The ideal candidate has quality experience in a manufacturing environment, understands automotive quality tools, communicates effectively, and is comfortable working cross-functionally to support customer, supplier, and internal quality needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute quality tools related to inspection, statistical process control, problem-solving, customer standards and specifications, laboratory requirements, calibration, and quality system requirements.
  • Coordinate, track, and submit annual customer-required validations, including gathering and shipping parts and gages for layout and compiling PPAP requirements as defined by the customer.
  • Manage and track AAR samples, dimensional masters, PPAP samples, color masters, and working masters.
  • Participate in the resolution of customer, supplier, and internal quality issues as needed.
  • Lead gage calibration, MSA activities, and gage tracker record maintenance for part gages and equipment.
  • Manage nonconforming areas and maintain detailed logs and history of dispositions.
  • Complete assigned change management tasks, including PPSC-related activities.
  • Oversee and manage color acuity testing for required personnel.
  • Complete assigned monthly LPAs, track LPA completions, and maintain LPA records.
  • Lead quality deliverables for end-of-production-life activities, including gage tagging, movement of gages and masters to service storage, and updating IQMS tool locations and documents.
  • Apply root-cause problem-solving methods to support quality improvement.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, protocols, and policies while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Demonstrate TOG’s Core Values in daily work.
Qualifications
  • Two-year technical degree in a related field or equivalent experience, preferably in Quality.
  • ASQ Quality Technician Certification or comparable certification preferred.
  • Experience performing internal audits and working with automotive quality tools, including MSA, PPAP, Control Plan, PFMEA, and SPC preferred.
  • Basic metrology skills and GD amp;T knowledge
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and read and comprehend simple and complex instructions.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to effectively present information.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to communicate in a meaningful, respectful, and professional manner.
  • Ability to perform the physical duties of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Why Apply?

This is a strong opportunity for a quality professional who enjoys working directly with production, supporting customer requirements, maintaining quality systems, and contributing to a culture focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. The role is well-suited for someone with quality technician experience, automotive quality tool knowledge, and a practical, detail-focused approach to problem solving.
