Typical Day:

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements, specifications, and user stories to ensure adequate test coverage and effective identification of defects.
  • Perform manual and automated testing of software applications, including functional, integration, regression, performance, security, and usability testing, to ensure that they meet the desired quality standards.
  • Proactively, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
  • Log, track, and manage defects identified during testing, ensuring they are accurately documented, prioritized, and communicated to the development team for resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements, provide feedback on design and implementation, and ensure that quality is embedded throughout the development process.
  • Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports, to provide visibility into the testing process and support decision-making.
  • Participate in post-release reviews, retrospectives, and other quality-related activities to identify areas for improvement, implement best practices, and enhance the overall quality assurance process.
  • Monitor and analyze application performance under various conditions, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to ensure that the application meets performance requirements.

Technical Skills Required:

(Required)

  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript.
  • Test Automation: Proficiency in test automation tools.
  • Knowledge of frameworks like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or Pytest.
  • Familiarity with various manual testing techniques.
  • Knowledge Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
  • Familiarity with Github
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and tools / systems like (Jenkins, Bamboo, or CircleCI).
  • Experience with Selenium.
  • Strong Proficiency and experience in performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner. (Strong experience with JMeter is a must)
  • Strong knowledge of API testing tools like Postman.
  • Familiarity with security testing tools and best practices, such as OWASP Top Ten.
  • Experience with SQL DB.
  • Experience with OAuth
