The Position
Roche Diagnostics Operations, Inc. seeks a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at its Indianapolis, IN location.
Duties: Plan, design, develop, and test software systems and applications for software enhancements and new products; responsible for improvement of existing and creation of new test frameworks. Conduct automation testing and performance testing to make processes more efficient, secure, and reliable within our agile and cross-functional teams. Implement and execute automated test scripting using TestNG, Appium Selenium, and similar frameworks. Conduct code reviews, test coverage, and utilize CI/CD principles to support efforts to improve the digital health ecosystem. Implement performance testing using tools such as JMeter and utilize backend technologies such as Java 21+, frameworks such as Spring Boot 3+, and frontend technologies such as React, Vue, and Angular. Develop clean, stable, testable, performant, and well documented code, serving our applications. Use experience with Amazon Web Services ("AWS") and/or other cloud providers and knowledge of Infra as Code, Terraform, and Github Actions. Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week.
Education and experience required: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as a Test Engineer, System Consultant, Quality Assurance Engineer or related role
Special Requirements: Must have 2 years of experience with:
  • Design and evaluate automation frameworks
  • Performance testing using JMeter, Grafana, and Influx DB
  • Cloud technologies as applied to testing and operation
  • User Interface automation using Selenium, Java and Test NG
  • FHIR API and HL7 Testing
  • Hybrid Mobile App Automation (React Native and Cordova)
  • Voice and Conversational Flow Testing (Twilio and WebRTC)
  • Mutation Testing with PIT (Pitest)
  • Test Data Strategy for GDPR and HIPAA Compliance
  • FHIR Bundle Validation using HAPI FHIR

The expected annual salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of Indiana is $169,272 to $232,200 per year. Actual pay within the range will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
