Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The QC Inspector B position monitors operations in areas designated by the lead inspector to ensure standards of production are met. Recommends adjustments to the assembly or production process. Accepts or rejects finished items, removing items that fail to meet inspections, and understanding and completing tasks assigned by the lead inspector.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Reads specifications of projects.
  • Monitors operations.
  • Inspects and measures materials.
  • Accepts or rejects projects.
  • Reports inspection data to lead inspector.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
  • Read and understand specifications
  • Determine if projects meet production standards
  • Report and communicate inspection data
  • Respectively follow orders from leads
  • Math skills for calibrating and calculating specifications

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prolonged standing
  • Bending at the waist and knees
  • Lifting up to 40lbs from the floor
  • Climbing in and out of boats
  • Ladder usage
  • Able to maintain production speeds

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
  • Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
