About the Role:

The Quality Control Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that products meet established standards of quality, safety, and reliability before reaching customers. This position involves conducting detailed inspections, performing tests, and analyzing data to identify defects or deviations from specifications. The technician collaborates closely with production teams to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives. By maintaining accurate records and documentation, the role supports compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality policies. Ultimately, the Quality Control Technician helps uphold the company’s reputation for excellence by ensuring that only high-quality products are delivered to the market.

Position Summary: Perform inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures of production products, performs HACCP checks, defects, product sensory evaluations; (visual, taste, defects) Perform daily product production History Records of finished goods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs pre-start sanitation verification checks to ensure cleanliness of equipment, taking pictures and reporting all findings.

• Able to work with sanitation team to verify that the cleanliness is adequate to produce safe and quality foods.

• Perform ATP swabs on clean equipment. Being able to use the Charm unit, a sanitation verification tool.

• Accurately and in a timely manner document in paper and into iFoods the results of the inspections and testing.

• Monitor critical control points to ensure proper food safety requirements are meet

• Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action and report to QC supervisor.

• Must be able to work within cold room environments

• Follow company safety policies and practices

• Monitor and adjust sanitizer levels in wash water

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, Quality Control experience in Quality Control Inspection preferred, Knowledge of basic food safety, Previous GMP, GFSI, and HACCP knowledge.

Language Ability:

Ability to speak effectively with employees of organization. Bi-lingual Spanish preferred

Mathematical Ability:

Basic Math Skills needed

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical and complex problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables, knowledge of defects of fruit and ability to communicate to other departments.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and over shoulders. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.
