Position Summary
We are seeking detail-oriented Quality Inspectors to join our team. This is a temp-to-hire role. In this role, you will support production operations by performing inspections, audits, and quality-related activities to ensure products meet customer specifications and company quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical inspections, blueprint reading, and precision measuring equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to verify part and assembly compliance.
  • Perform inspections using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, tape measures, pin/plug gauges, indicators, surface plates, and other inspection tools.
  • Conduct receiving inspections of raw materials and components according to established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and quality documentation.
  • Verify that in-process inspections and audits are completed and properly documented.
  • Follow all company quality policies, procedures, and established guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Demonstrate a cooperative, flexible, and team-oriented attitude.
  • Work independently while consistently meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
  • Apply sound judgment and attention to detail in daily work activities.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of mechanical inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring equipment and inspection tools.
  • Basic computer skills with competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the workday.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, reaching, and use of hand tools.
  • Frequent handling and inspection of manufactured parts.
  • Ability to lift and carry:
    • Up to 10 lbs. continuously
    • 10–20 lbs. frequently
    • Up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to maintain balance and work safely around manufacturing equipment.
  • Must have the ability to see details at close range and at a distance, distinguish colors, perceive depth, and adjust focus as needed.
