Job description

Quality Assurance Inspector

We're hiring a QA Inspector to join our Quality Assurance team, reporting to the QA Manager. This role is responsible for mechanical and visual inspection of manufactured products at receiving, in-process, and final stages.

What you'll do:

  • Perform mechanical inspection on a variety of manufactured products using tools like micrometers, calipers, height gages, surface plates, optical comparators, air gaging, thread gages, plug gages, and CMMs
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) per QMS and customer requirements
  • Create and maintain inspection records and documentation (computer and manual)
  • Enter and manage data to support QMS data-gathering requirements
  • Support calibration and maintenance of measuring devices per QP 7.6 and ISO 10012
  • Assist with internal, customer, and third-party audits
  • Perform daily backups of quality data
  • Support Project Engineers in dispositioning discrepant material
  • Uphold and promote company Quality Policies and Objectives

What we're looking for:

  • 3–5 years of quality inspection experience in an aerospace or similarly regulated precision-manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and manufacturing travelers
  • Proficiency with both analog and digital inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, and bore gauges
  • Basic working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • Ability to accurately document inspection results and maintain traceable quality records
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail
