Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Inspect product quality to insure conformity to all customer and purchase order requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and maintain the gage calibration system

Perform first piece reviews and approvals, in-process inspections, and final inspections as needed

Must be able to read and understand measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, height stands, etc.

Read and interpret blue prints

Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee and be able to discuss concerns with applicable manager or engineer and retain that information for future reference

Complete First Article Inspection Reports and maintain necessary paperwork as required

Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition

Must be able to talk to customer representatives or auditors, and discuss technical information or refer to the appropriate person(s) in a professional manner

Perform basic troubleshooting as required and any other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to stand, sit, walk (on concrete surfaces), bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and lift

Must be able to lift/push/pull objects up to 35 pounds, heavier objects require assistance

Must be able to read and interpret drawings and follow routers

Strong math skills and high accuracy when measuring required

Must have computer skills including MS Office and general computer and internet skills

Must be detail oriented

Ability to pass Vision Requirements

Ability to adhere to safety policies

Must have working command of the English language and be able to communicate orally and in writing (basic oral instructions, simple written memos and instructions)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED Required

1-3 years previous Quality experience with gage calibration management and maintenance or Associates Degree in related field

Experience in Aerospace Industry a plus
