Red Dot Buildings is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Loading Dock Specialist to support the loading and unloading of steel building components. In this hands-on role, you will operate material-handling equipment, coordinate with drivers, inspect shipments and help ensure every load is accurate, secure and ready for delivery.


The ideal candidate is comfortable working around large materials and equipment, communicates well with others and takes pride in maintaining a safe, organized loading dock.

What You Will Do

  • Load and unload steel building components safely and efficiently
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy
  • Coordinate with drivers and the logistics team to keep shipments moving on schedule
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, yard mules and other material-handling equipment
  • Inspect materials for damage, discrepancies or quality concerns and document findings
  • Handle and stage materials properly to help prevent damage or loss
  • Track daily dock activity and maintain accurate records using tablets and RFID scanners
  • Use two-way radios and other communication tools to coordinate with team members
  • Complete routine equipment and loading-dock safety inspections
  • Report hazards, damaged materials and equipment concerns promptly
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
  • Assist with other daily loading-dock responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in loading, shipping, receiving, warehouse operations or a similar environment preferred
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, yard mules or related equipment
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and material-handling practices
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when verifying and documenting shipments
  • Clear communication and the ability to work effectively with drivers and team members
  • Dependability and the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
