Job description

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Quality Assurance Manager for a leading manufacturer in the aerospace industry, located in South Austin. In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing quality control processes and ensuring that all products meet strict industry and customer standards, including ISO 9001 and 100% source inspection. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cable harness manufacturing, aerospace, and rocket product environments—and will have worked with TE, Tyco, 3M, Parker, Chomerics, and computer-related components (preffered)
As a Quality Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
  • Managing and maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 quality management system standards
  • Overseeing 100% source inspection of all finished goods to meet customer and regulatory requirements
  • Leading internal audits and coordinating with external auditors and customer inspectors
  • Identifying and resolving quality issues throughout the production process
  • Working closely with engineering, production, and customer service teams to ensure consistent product quality
  • Maintaining detailed documentation and reports related to inspections, audits, and corrective actions
  • Training staff on quality control procedures and standards
What you’ll need:
  • Proven experience working as a Quality Manager or in a senior quality control role
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and audit procedures
  • Experience performing and managing 100% source inspections
  • Background in cable harness manufacturing, and aerospace or rocket product environments strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with TE, Tyco, 3M, Parker, Chomerics, and computer-related products
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
