Eric Darnell, a soft-spoken 62-year-old Quaker and backyard inventor from South Stafford, Vt., has brought 60 of his latest handmade boomerang prototypes, along with several notebooks, two windsocks and printouts of weather forecasts. While others just hurl their rangs -- as aficionados call them -- Darnell tries to be as meticulous and scientific as possible about the objects he refers to as "my kinetic sculptures."

Job Description

What you'll do:
    Uncover what our customers are thinking and turn those insights into the best-in-class user experience
    Lead concept ideation and iteration with sketching, wireframe development, and prototypes
    Design elegant solutions to complex workflows
    Collaborate with product management and executives to prioritize the product roadmap
    Communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs to stakeholders
    Collaborate with visual designers to maintain design consistency and coherence across the product as appropriate, collaborate with a product focused User Researcher to aid in the conduct generative and evaluative research as needed
    Work on features and products through their entire lifecycle: user research, competitive analysis, product definition, usability testing, launch, and beyond
    Integrate UX research and design into our agile development process

Qualifications

  1. 3+ years of experience

  2. You have a portfolio that shows unique, creative and suitable solutions to a wide variety of design challenges

  3. A professional who can communicate effectively with clients

  4. Fluent German and English, both written and oral
