NextGen Federal Systems (NextGen) is currently seeking to fill multiple Principal Software Engineer positions with staff who have experience supporting Department of War (DoW) and Intelligence Community (IC) programs. Selected candidates will participate in the entire software development lifecycle including participation in the design, development, deployment and implementation of software products throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle. The candidates will be part of the development team operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. • Active TS/SCI security clearance required Qualified candidates must have strong software engineering backgrounds with the following skills and expertise that are highly desired: • Object-Oriented (OO) Programming skills with modern development languages
• Agile software development practices and tools (e.g., Scrum, Jira)
• Modern cloud-computing software and tools including distributed computing platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
• Micro-services, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Modern data architectures and tools: Python, MATLAB, IDL, Java, JavaScript / Typescript, NodeJS, C++
• Frameworks: Angular, Spring Boot, Vue, QT, React
