Job description

A respected architectural and engineering firm in New York City, with decades of experience, is seeking a QPSI Engineer to take on impactful exterior restoration and compliance projects. About the Role:
As a QPSI Engineer, you’ll serve as a cornerstone of the firm’s operations, leading high-profile restoration projects and building out your own team and department. You’ll ensure compliance with NYC’s rigorous Local Law 11 and FISP requirements, oversee key inspections, and deliver exceptional project results in collaboration with senior management and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee multiple exterior restoration projects, ensuring compliance with Local Law 11 and FISP regulations.
  • Conduct scaffold and field inspections to maintain adherence to NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) standards.
  • Develop and build out a new department, mentoring junior staff and establishing best practices for excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • QPSI certification is required; PE certification is a strong plus.
  • Proven expertise in exterior restoration, NYC building laws, restoration materials, and scaffold inspections.
