Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring a Quality Control Technician for a beverage manufacturing facility in San Bernardino, CA. This is a temp-to-hire overnight position paying $19.00/hr, with training on first shift for the first three months. In this role, you will perform chemical and physical analysis on raw materials and finished batches, run process control checks on equipment, and audit finished products and packaging for compliance with food safety and quality standards. Overtime is available on Saturdays as needed.


Pay: $19.00/hr

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 PM–5:30 AM (training on 1st shift, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM, for first 3 months)

Location: San Bernardino, CA

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Work Environment: Food Production Facility


Responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance with food safety, food quality, sanitation, and batching systems across active production lines.
  • Conduct process control checks on seals, closure torque, and can seams to verify proper equipment operation.
  • Audit finished products and packaging integrity against customer and regulatory standards.
  • Stop production and notify management immediately when food safety concerns are identified.
  • Maintain accurate records of all tests and inspections to meet internal and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Use measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, and CMM machines to verify product specifications.



Minimum Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in a quality control role within a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of food safety requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) (Good Manufacturing Practices).



Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with SQF (Safe Quality Food) certification standards, Six Sigma, or HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) principles.
  • Experience operating measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, or CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with SAP.
  • Experience working in a food or beverage laboratory setting.
  • Ability to read and work within the metric system.
