Job Summary

Avanti is seeking a qualified quality assurance technician to work in our lab, testing our materials for performance in medical, hygiene, industrial and agricultural products. Our Lab Technician will conduct tests and inspections of materials to evaluate quality and ensure high standards and specifications are met.


The Lab Technician will strive toward our Quality Policy todeliver on time, competitive products and services conforming to clearly defined requirements from our customers. We are committed to a process of continuous quality improvement through defect prevention.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Perform routine and non-routine tests and analyses using the appropriate technical equipment and instruments

  • Receive or collect, label, and process samples

  • Execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, make observations and interpret findings

  • Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility

  • Using computers and computer systems to enter data or process information

  • Perform quality control and calibrate equipment if necessary

  • Maintain equipment in proper working order and maintain a clean work area

  • Practice safe work habits, including complying with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications & Skills:


  • HS Diploma or Equivalent is required

  • Proven experience as Lab or Quality Technician or relevant position

  • Experience in operating electrical and nonelectrical laboratory equipment

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work such as moving and lifting equipment, standing for long periods of time, etc.

  • Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office and database systems

  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to write correspondence and reports

  • Excellent organizational skills
