Job Description
Mployer Advisor is hiring a QA Analyst to be a part of an expanding development team to quickly grow and scale our web platform with modern technologies.
You will work with a team of full stack developers and a Product Owner to build and position several high-quality products for employers and brokers. To succeed in this role, you must be highly collaborative, urgent to achieve outcomes, customer-oriented, and very detail oriented. You must be an ambassador for quality, and ensure quality is everyone's job. You will be responsible for ensuring testing is efficient and high functioning software is deployed. Your role here is vitally important to the next stage of growth and scale for our ambitious journey.
Qualifications
  • Lead in the preparation, and execution of testing strategies including Functional, System Integration, Performance, and User Acceptance test definitions
  • Think outside the box in a creative fashion to find edge cases and ways to break new features
  • Full collaboration and investment in acceptance criteria and breaking down of work as a team
  • Conduct test regression strategy reviews with the full team to ensure understanding of the problem being solved, resulting in reasonable test coverage
  • Manage daily testing, defect tracking and resolution progress
  • Conduct testing postmortems to define and document lessons learned and translate them into improvements to the QA approach
  • Fully document test cases and keep them maintained. The managed test suite must be the backbone and relied on for full regression and integration tests
  • Execute manual test cases/steps; update documentation accordingly with results
  • Detail documentation of defects to facilitate the recreation of the defect by the development team
  • Escalate risks and issues to the team and leadership
  • Create and maintain any regression tests
  • Other duties as assigned
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • Possess a strong sense of thoughtful urgency
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Agile teams
  • Deep experience with both Scrum and Kanban
  • High degree of emotional intelligence, empathy, ability to influence others, and desire to collaborate
  • Experience leveraging test case management suites
  • Experience with testing technologies such as Selenium, JMeter, etc. is a plus
  • Experience load testing software
