Job Description

Do you want to build a fast-paced and exciting career in IT? Trupanion is looking for a self-motivated Quality Assurance Analyst who is interested in using their investigative nature to help drive functional, integration, and user acceptance testing in a rapidly growing, agile organization. You'll interact with both people and technology to support Trupanion's internal and external systems.

This position is open to candidates in the Seattle area. You will have a hybrid remote/in-office schedule where you will work from our casual, pet-friendly office at least 3 days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, document, and execute test plans to proactively identify issues
  • Test processes and end-to-end workflows across web, iOS, Android, and multiple business platforms
  • Troubleshoot and resolve challenges with testing tools and frameworks
  • Create a knowledge base to communicate process changes to end users
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with IT professionals, vendor partners, and internal teams in a way that is appropriate for the audience
  • Participate in development team stand-ups to understand mobile application changes and to identify risks

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in functional quality assurance support and demonstrated ability in QA or UAT operations, including mobile application testing
  • ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification preferred
  • Experience working within an agile delivery methodology supporting web and mobile applications

Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL, Postman, Jira, SharePoint, BrowserStack, and Xray
  • Familiarity with iOS and Android mobile application testing methodologies
  • Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and mobile application release lifecycles
  • An individual who is self-motivated, driven, passionate, and confident
  • Ability to forge strong working partnerships within IT, with internal business partners, with vendors/partners, and with external customers
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a willingness and desire to increase knowledge base
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially in escalated situations
  • Excellent organization and documentation skills
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Appium, Virtuoso) and scripting languages is a plus
  • Experience using Apple TestFlight and Google Play testing tracks from a testing perspective

Compensation:

  • The base pay range for this position is $90,000, on a full-time schedule.
  • Along with base salary, Trupanion employees are currently eligible for monthly bonuses.
  • We want all employees to be invested in Trupanion's success, so we grant Restricted Stock Units to all new team members. Our new hire grants vest over 4 years.
