Over the years, CES expanded its services to include utility management, construction at-risk, and civil engineering services.

We are seeking to hire a Quality Assurance Manager for our Engineering practice in Roanoke, VA.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Regional Director as a Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in a long-term project in Roanoke, VA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Overall quality of the program by developing and enforcing design and construction quality assurance standards, policies, and procedures that will ensure quality design, new construction, renovation, repair, replacement, and renewal projects.
  • Supervise and lead the QA Team to ensure that all teams inspecting and monitoring the on-site construction work comply with contract requirements, codes, and industry standards and according to Capital Projects and Facilities Management Division (CPFMD) processes to meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Work with the Owner leadership to develop a yearly budget for OMB acceptance, develop spending plans, and provide estimated program and project costs to support budget development and monitor program financials throughout the budget year.
  • Coordinate training activities to increase program cost-efficiency by providing standardized support to CPFMD personnel and other contractor personnel in the form of training, software, standardized policies and procedures, and templates and enforce the execution of standard methodology

Education, Certifications, and Experience

The Quality Assurance Manager minimum qualifications for this role include the following:

  • 10+ Years of experience as a QA Manager on similar projects in Transportation field
  • A Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License required

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have any of the following:

  • PMP, PgMP, CQM, LEED AP, BD+C preferred
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve business objectives.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify trends.
