Location: Arlington, VA (100% On-Site)
Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI Clearance (Ability to Obtain a CI Polygraph)
Schedule: Full-Time
Salary Range: $73,450 - $127,775 Position Overview
SDA Solutions is seeking an experienced QA Automation Test Engineer to support a high-profile Department of Defense program in Arlington, Virginia. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated testing solutions that ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate has experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks, working within Agile development environments, and collaborating closely with software developers to identify and resolve defects throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute automated test plans and test cases across multiple environments.
Build and maintain automated testing frameworks using industry-standard tools.
Perform functional, integration, regression, security, and performance testing.
Create and maintain test documentation, test data, and testing procedures.
Identify, document, and track software defects while working closely with development teams to resolve issues.
Develop and maintain Selenium automation scripts for web, desktop, API, database, and mobile applications.
Develop automated testing scenarios using Java, Selenium, and Selenium WebDriver.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Bitbucket, or other approved DevSecOps platforms.
Support continuous improvement of testing processes and automation frameworks.
Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure software quality standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.
Promote testing best practices across the program. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of software testing or quality assurance experience. Additional relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on software testing experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience leading or mentoring testing efforts or QA teams.
Experience developing automated testing solutions using Selenium.
Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, or Cucumber.
Proficiency with Java and Selenium WebDriver.
Experience testing complex enterprise or large-scale information systems.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance best practices.
Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
Knowledge of networking concepts and operating systems.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Active TS/SCI clearance required. Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience supporting DISA or other Department of Defense programs.
Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with Bitbucket, GitLab, or similar DevSecOps tools.
Experience supporting testing within highly secure or classified environments.
