Job description

Position Summary

The position will conduct inspections and record results on products and facilities.

General Purpose

Quality Assurance is a process which requires specific knowledge and skill. Quality Assurance Technicians work across all sectors of manufacturing and are responsible for carrying out checks on products and processes to ensure they meet predetermined quality standards.

Position Responsibilities

  • Crider, Foods requires all employees to comply with and support all Food Safety and Quality policies, programs and procedures to ensure our products meet and exceed consumers' expectations.
  • Performing measurement and weight control checks.
  • Performing equipment inspections
  • Performing incoming raw material inspections
  • Check instruments such as temperature gauges at regular intervals.
  • Making sure that machines are always kept clean.
  • Inspection of product labels, MSDS and safe use of chemicals.
  • Recording and maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Ensuring GMP's are being properly followed.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • (In case of absence of key personnel, the job will be filled by a trained employee)

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Successfully passed QA Proficiency Exam.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Maintain a good attendance and performance standard.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Optimal organizational skills with a systematic approach to work.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads.
  • Close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow written instruction and to keep accurate records.
  • Ability to act quickly when there is a problem.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Able to walk and stand, use arms and legs for long periods of time including wrist turning and finger manipulation.
  • Employee stands frequently with tasks requiring consistent bending, stooping, kneeling, or crawling to complete; Lift, carry and push/pull occasionally of up to 50 pounds is required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to extreme temperature conditions.
  • Job locations can be consistently 40 degrees or below.
  • The noise levels at work are moderate to loud and hearing protection is required.
