POSITION SUMMARY

This position drives continuous quality improvement and leads the team of QC inspectors & technicians in the production area.ย  Also, ensures Company quality objectives are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

ยท Responsible for hiring, oversight, training, development and appraisal of departmental staff, including incoming QC inspectors, AOI/xray operators, final QC inspectors, quality technicians, and quality engineers

ยท Direct day-to-day activities and priorities of quality team members

ยท Ensure compliance with electronics manufacturing IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards

ยท Oversee completion of first article inspection reports and certifications of conformance from quality department personnel in a thorough and timely manner

ยท Ensure that standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation are maintained and adhered to

ยท Participate during third party audits with BSI, customers, UL, etc.

ยท Analyze and report on departmental level quality data

ยท Document and initiate corrective action and risk analysis

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

ยท Bachelorโ€™s Degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university is required

ยท 3+ years of experience in an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company

ยท 3+ years of Quality management experience

REQUIRED/PREFERRED SKILLS

ยท Prior experience working with and/or implementing an AS9100 program is preferred

ยท Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001

ยท Knowledge of quality processes and standards

ยท Excellent communication and organizational skills, professional disposition and strong managerial skills

ยท Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

ยท Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines with changing priorities and schedules

ยท Strong initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively
