Follows policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations | Follows and/ or develops, assures and maintains the quality of products and processes through standard procedures & systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000 & AS9100 standards), quality audits/ review process, etc. Responsibilities are within the Quality Assurance Methods Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines

  • Prepares and implements Quality Assurance policies, procedures & review cycles
  • Maintains and updates internal audit programs and required audit schedules
  • Participates in audits and creates audit reports
  • Evaluates audit findings and aids in the implementation of appropriate corrective actions
  • Maintains and improves Quality Management System and generate reports as needed
  • Creates, updates & leads Quality training as needed
  • May administer the material review boards & database
  • May also lead or support various projects as assigned

      • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
      • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

      • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
      • Discipline/Major: Quality Assurance or other related degree preferred
      • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Batch Testing. Inspection. Nondestructive Testing. Product QA. Quality Assurance Process. Quality Improvement. Quality Inspection. Quality Management System (QMS).

      • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
      • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
      • May need to stand for long periods of time.
      • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
      • May be requested to work a different shift.
      • This position is Safety-Sensitive.

      Up to 25% travel likely.
