Job description

Job Title- Cloud Systems Engineer

Project Location – Hybrid in Reading, PA 2 days onsite in a week

Duration- 6 months contract to hire

Visa- USC/ GC

Additional potential titles: Platform Reliability Engineer / Cloud Platform Engineer

Looking for an all-around candidate that is familiar with the below technologies.

  • Ability to recommend standards, deploy, upgrade and maintain Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS, OpenShift preferred)
  • Ability to build, integrate automated pipelines like ArgoCD / flux
  • Automate cluster operations using bash, python scripts
  • Experience working with Cloud Technologies like AWS / GCP
  • Automation scripting using Terraform, Ansible, Scripting languages.
  • Hands on experience with VPCs, Availability zones, Security groups, ELB/ALB etc.
  • Linux / Middleware skills with an AWS focus preferred.
  • Introductory experience in IT security best practices, managing database technologies like Gemfire, Postgres, Greenplum, MySQL, mongo etc.
  • Experience in several of the following areas: database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, advanced analytics
  • Understanding of and experience with the five pillars of a well-architected framework for cloud technologies
  • Working knowledge in GCP technologies like APIgee runtime and management planes
  • Understanding in scheduling and managing code deployments with DevOps team
  • Proficient in observability tools and algorithms such as Dynatrace / Wavefront / Datadog like products to send platform metrics and monitor them.
