Position Summary
A postdoctoral position is available late summer of 2025 in the laboratory of Dr. Thomas Everett at Indiana University Indianapolis to investigate the cardiovascular effects of altered autonomic tone within various clinical applications.
This emerging new area of research focuses on understanding the role of nerve activity on physiological events. This includes signal processing and both time-series and frequency domain analysis of physiological recordings including ECG and nerve recordings. This data is used to investigate the cardiovascular effects of altered vagal tone and sympathetic nerve activity.
The postdoctoral candidate would be involved in:
  • Data analysis and presentation of original work at regional, national, and international platforms.
  • Manuscript preparation and publication of original work in high impact peer-reviewed journals.
  • Grant preparation and submissions to intramural and extramural funding agencies.
