Position Summary

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for analyzing, recommending, and monitoring pricing strategies for retail banking products to support profitability, growth, and competitive positioning. This role leverages internal, public, and third-party data to evaluate deposit and loan pricing opportunities, model various options and outcomes, and provide actionable recommendations to business leaders.

The Pricing Analyst works closely with Product Management, Finance, and Data Science teams to develop analytical insights and support pricing decisions.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities listed below represent the primary duties of this position. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Analyze deposit and loan pricing performance, profitability, market conditions, and competitive trends to support pricing decisions.
  • Develop pricing recommendations for retail banking products that balance profitability, growth objectives, customer value, and market competitiveness.
  • Conduct pricing, profitability, sensitivity, and scenario analyses to evaluate potential business outcomes.
  • Monitor and report on key pricing, margin, and portfolio performance metrics.
  • Utilize analytical models and forecasting tools to support pricing and financial decision-making.
  • Develop, validate, and enhance of pricing and forecasting models, collaborating with a data scientist for advanced models when needed.
  • Partners with IT to integrate and analyze data from internal systems, public sources, and licensed third-party providers.
  • Partner with Product Management, Finance, Treasury, and other stakeholders to evaluate product performance and identify pricing opportunities.
  • Prepare and present analysis, recommendations, and performance results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support the development and maintenance of reports, dashboards, documentation, and data quality processes.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in pricing analytics and financial modeling.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of data pipelines, reporting tools, and documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must comply with current applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years' experience in pricing analysis, profitability management, financial analysis, forecasting, or related analytical functions within banking, financial services, or similar industries.
  • Experience analyzing data and providing business recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Experience developing forecasts, conducting scenario analyses, or evaluating financial performance.
  • Experience working with analytical and reporting tools such as SQL, Excel, Sigma, Python, or similar platforms.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional business and technical teams.
