Position Description:
We're looking for a Senior Oracle Technical Lead who's ready to shape the future of our enterprise platforms and cloud foundation. This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll own technical direction, guide engineering teams, and ensure the stability and performance of mission-critical Oracle and OCI environments.
In this position, you'll be the technical authority driving platform architecture, design decisions, and solution quality across Oracle Database, ExaCS, WebLogic, and Oracle Linux. You'll work closely with architecture, security, and delivery leaders to ensure our technology strategy aligns with business goals and meets the highest standards of resiliency, security, and operational excellence.
This position is located in our Lafayette, LA or Knoxville, TN office or Fairfax, VA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
-Provide technical leadership for enterprise platforms and cloud initiatives.
-Own technical direction, design decisions, and solution quality.
-Partner with architecture, security, and delivery leaders to align technology with business objectives.
-Ensure platform stability, resiliency, performance, and security.
-Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement.
-Lead operational processes such as patching cycles and pre/post-patch health checks across Oracle Database, ExaCS, WebLogic, and Oracle Linux environments.
-Guide provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of OCI resources, including scripting and automation frameworks to streamline environment management.
-Support disaster recovery architecture, execution, and annual DR exercises involving OCI regions and cloud failover scenarios.
-Mentor engineers and influence technical best practices.
-Communicate status, risks, and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
-Plan work for the team members.
-Lead weekly team meetings to track progress, align on objectives, and coordinate work related to OCI patching and environment maintenance.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
-8+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, middleware, or cloud environments
-Strong hands-on expertise with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
-Experience supporting Oracle Database, Oracle WebLogic Server, and Oracle Linux
-Proven technical leadership in cloud-first or hybrid environments.
-Solid Linux administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.
-Familiarity with automation and scripting tools (Terraform, WLST, Bash, Python)
-Experience working in Agile and cross-functional team environments.
-Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
