Job description

This paid graduate internship is for recent graduates — within 12 months of completing their degree — who are passionate about AI and want hands-on experience applying it in a business setting. You'll work alongside our applications and technology teams to help deploy AI tools, build dashboards and automations, and support business applications, all at a company in the middle of a significant technology transformation. For the right candidate, this role is a direct path to a full-time position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

AI Tools & Automation

  • Assist in prototyping and testing LLM-based tools for workflow automation, document processing, and internal knowledge retrieval.
  • Help identify and document high-impact AI use cases across business teams including operations, finance, and supply chain.
  • Support the rollout of AI-assisted features within existing business applications and workflows.
  • Contribute to developments that surfaces AI-generated insights to business users.

Business Application Support

  • Assist with data validation, testing, and documentation in support of ongoing ERP and systems implementation work.
  • Help troubleshoot data issues across business applications and ETL pipelines under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Support documentation of business processes, system configurations, and AI implementations.

Learning & Collaboration

  • Work directly with Software Engineers on real projects with real business impact.
  • Participate in team planning sessions and contribute ideas for where AI can add value at IFG.
  • Build a portfolio of work that demonstrates applied AI and data skills in a production environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge in Python and SQL for automation, data transformation, and integration work.
  • Hands-on experience with AI or LLM-based tools (e.g., OpenAI APIs, LangChain, Microsoft Copilot, or similar platforms).
  • Experience with tools for dashboard and report development.
  • Curiosity about AI and LLMs — you've played with tools like ChatGPT, OpenAI APIs, or similar and want to go deeper.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A bias toward action, ideas to working solution in a business environment
  • Ability to pass a hair follicle drug test, post-offer pre-employment physical, and background check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exposure to ERP’s or enterprise business applications
  • Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehouse concepts, or EDI integrations.
  • Exposure to Databricks, PySpark, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with workflow automation or orchestration tools (Airflow, GitHub Actions, Power Automate).
  • Valid driver’s license
