Our client- one of the transit agency seeks an accomplished DevOps Architect

Job Description

Role:-DevOps Architect
Location: - Miami, FL
Duration:-24 months (with a high possibility of extension)

Job Responsibilities:-

  • Design and develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) to support Bid & Proposal efforts and on-going operations.
  • DevOps leadership and IT Operations transformation experience with 80% packaged systems, 20% custom systems
  • Experience with technical planning, deployment, integration, test/validation, and configuration of Commercial-off- the-Shelf (COTS), and custom software in both the Linux and Windows operating environments.
  • Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment (AWS, Azure, VMware, etc.).
  • Lead technical solution development for Bid & Proposal efforts.
  • Create technical estimates to support Bid & Proposal efforts.
  • Support the development of reusable solutions for software intensive work efforts.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years design and implementation of Continuous Delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecture patterns.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years managing an IT Operations environment
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years' hands on experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment & management using tools like Jenkins, SVN, Get, Chef, Ensile, Art factory, Service Now, Sonar, Selenium
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with approaches and tooling for automated build, delivery and release of software
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with managing teams including progress monitoring and reporting
  • Minimum of 5 year of experience working in an Agile delivery environment
  • Minimum of 5 year of experience with Linux (writing shell scripts)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in automation scripting using one or more of the following languages: Java, Perl, Ruby, or Python

Preferred Skills:

  • 5 years of DevOps leadership and transformation experience
  • Environment Monitoring tools
  • Candidate should have experience leading a multi-disciplinary teams, working in a fast paced, high velocity agile environment
  • Approaches and tooling for automated software assurance and QA.
  • The use of Public/Private cloud and Virtualization Technologies
  • Experience with project or program management
  • Defining and managing the roadmap for implementation of DevOps in an established operation.
  • Working within a structured environment, including the use of structured methods and approaches and modern development tools.
  • Experience of technical architecture - i.e. the design and delivery of IT systems for a broad range of clients
  • Service support - the use of DevOps, Continuous Delivery and ITIL concepts to lead an effective support operation
  • In-depth knowledge of technology trends and standards, both from a business and technical viewpoints.
  • Certifications in AWS or Azure highly preferred
