Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site (Boise, ID) role for a Junior Full Stack Developer. As a Junior Full Stack Developer at Pitch Aeronautics, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of our software platform, which helps utility customers visualize and analyze operational, environmental, and risk-related data. You'll support more senior developers, implement features across the stack, and assist with infrastructure and DevOps tasks in AWS. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills while making a meaningful impact in a fast-paced startup environment.
Responsibilities

  • Contribute to front-end and back-end development for our web-based applications.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving our AWS-based cloud infrastructure.
  • Help integrate with IoT devices and third-party APIs.
  • Collaborate with designers to implement responsive, intuitive user interfaces.
  • Participate in the development of RESTful APIs.
  • Follow secure coding practices and assist in maintaining security of utility data.
  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and QA as part of a collaborative development team.
  • Participate in Agile development processes
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in full stack development or software engineering.
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React or Angular) and back-end languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
  • Experience working with AWS services or cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Proficiency working with version control tools (Git)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident due to ITAR and government contract requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with web application development in a startup or small-team environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices.
  • Interest or experience in the utility or energy sector.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity best practices or certifications (a plus but not required).
