Job description

Our client is a global jewelry manufacturer and reaches millions of people across more than 100 countries, and every one of those touchpoints depends on data flowing cleanly from source systems into a governed, trusted foundation.

This role is not about building processing pipelines or designing domain data models โ€” that work belongs to the D&A engineers who build on top of what you provide. Your job is to build the Python-based services and automation that provision, govern, and harden the company's data storage infrastructure as it rolls out a new data strategy.

This is a high-impact, high-ownership role for an engineer who takes pride in building infrastructure that other engineers can trust and build on without thinking twice.

Design, build, and maintain the platform's REST APIs and automations that provision and govern analytics tools on Azure

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, and deployment tooling for platform and infrastructure components

Implement monitoring, observability, and alerting across distributed cloud systems to ensure platform reliability

Contribute to architectural discussions and help shape the technical direction of the data platform

Mentor peers and provide technical leadership within the team

Partner with D&A engineers and other stakeholders to ensure the platform meets the needs of teams building on top of it

Champion engineering best practices: clean code, testability, modularity, and disciplined version control

5+ years of experience as a software engineer on enterprise-scale projects

Background in building and operating modular monolith platforms

Well-versed in Azure cloud services

Proficient in Python and Bash, with strong software engineering fundamentals: clean code, testability, modularity, and disciplined version control

Experience with Terraform applied at platform scale

Well-versed in Azure cloud services

A track record of building and operating CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform tooling

Skilled at implementing monitoring, observability, and alerting for distributed or cloud systems

Strong communicator, able to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Fluent English, written and spoken

Experience with Databricks, Power BI, OpenMetadata, Apache Kafka or Kubernetes
