Makpar has an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist. The Data Scientist will support enterprise data and analytics initiatives for a federal client, leveraging expertise in AI/ML development, advanced analytics, and automation to deliver mission-focused, scalable, and secure solutions. The role involves providing technical leadership, developing predictive and prescriptive models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align analytics capabilities with enterprise objectives. Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, modern AI/ML frameworks, and RPA tools are required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership on analytics and AI/ML solutions.
  • Develop and deploy machine learning models and predictive analytics.
  • Use Python, Anaconda, and Jupyter notebooks for modeling and prototyping.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to integrate models with data pipelines.
  • Support data governance activities (tagging, metadata management, and secure sharing).
  • Develop RPA solutions to automate business processes.
  • Evaluate and recommend analytics products to ensure mission alignment.
  • Communicate findings through dashboards, visualizations, and technical reports.

Qualifications:
  • Active Secret clearance (required).
  • Bachelor's in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in data science and AI/ML.
  • Strong expertise in Python, Jupyter, and Anaconda.
  • Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Experience with RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Python-based).
  • Familiarity with Databricks, Apache Spark, and SQL.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Local residency in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington DC.

Clearance Requirement:
  • Active Secret clearance (mandatory requirement).
