Python React information

What is a Python React developer?

A Python React developer is a software engineer who specializes in building web applications using Python for the backend (often with frameworks like Django or Flask) and React.js for the frontend. This role involves developing server-side logic and APIs with Python, as well as creating responsive and interactive user interfaces using React. Python React developers need to be proficient in both languages, understand RESTful APIs, and integrate frontend and backend components seamlessly. Their work ensures that web applications are robust, scalable, and user-friendly.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Python React developer?

To thrive as a Python React Developer, you need proficiency in Python for backend development, JavaScript (with expertise in React) for frontend work, and experience with REST APIs, typically supported by a relevant degree or coding bootcamp. Familiarity with frameworks like Django or Flask, version control systems such as Git, and package managers like npm or pip is essential. Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills are vital for collaborating with cross-functional teams and delivering robust solutions. These abilities ensure efficient development of scalable, user-friendly applications and effective collaboration within agile environments.

How do Python React developers typically collaborate with backend and frontend teams on complex projects?

Python React developers often serve as a bridge between backend and frontend teams, especially in full-stack environments. They might work closely with backend developers to design RESTful APIs using Python frameworks like Django or Flask, and with frontend teams to implement user interfaces using React. Regular communication, code reviews, and agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups are common practices to ensure alignment and seamless integration across the stack. This collaborative workflow helps address challenges early and ensures that both user experience and application performance meet project requirements.

What is the difference between Python React vs JavaScript Developer?

AspectPython ReactJavaScript Developer

Common CertificationsPython certifications, React.js coursesJavaScript certifications, React.js courses
Industry UsageTech companies, startups, data science projectsTech companies, startups, front-end development

Python React developers focus on integrating Python backend logic with React.js front-end interfaces, often working on data-driven applications. JavaScript Developers primarily work on building interactive user interfaces with JavaScript and React.js. While both roles require React.js expertise, Python React developers combine backend Python skills with React, whereas JavaScript Developers focus mainly on front-end development.

Job description

EnTech Engineering, PC is a multidisciplinary engineering and construction management firm devoted to delivering best-in-class design and construction support services for infrastructure and facility projects that strengthen communities nationwide. Based in New York City, our firm is made of engineers, technologists, environmental scientists, construction professionals, and consultants who are passionate about improving the infrastructure, buildings, and communities that surround us.
About the Role:
We're looking for a full-time Software Engineer to build and maintain the software that runs our work: the web platforms, cloud infrastructure, and AI systems behind our inspection, scheduling, and reporting operations on public construction and agency projects.
This is a builder's seat. You'll ship real product into platforms already in daily use, stand up new services from scratch, and shape the AI and cloud architecture that's becoming core to how we operate. You'll work across Python, React, and Next.js on sophisticated AWS setups, and you'll design and orchestrate the AI agents we use to accelerate our own engineering. You'll partner directly with our technical lead, own what you build end to end, and see it used quickly by real teams in the field and the office.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Build web applications with Python, React, and Next.js.
  • Design and maintain REST APIs that power our internal platforms.
  • Architect and operate sophisticated AWS infrastructure (ECS, Fargate, ECR, CloudFront, CloudWatch, and more).
  • Orchestrate AI agents to automate coding and engineering workflows.
  • Apply memory caching and prompt caching to keep agent systems fast and cost-efficient.
  • Own features end to end, from design through deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
  • Improve the performance, reliability, and cost of our cloud systems.
  • Partner with the technical lead on architecture and tooling decisions.
  • Communicate clearly with the team and document what you build.
Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years building production web applications.
  • Strong experience with Python and React / Next.js.
  • Hands-on AWS experience — designing infrastructure, not just deploying to it.
  • Experience with REST APIs.
  • Working knowledge of agentic AI: agent orchestration, prompt caching, and memory caching.
  • Curious, efficient, and highly flexible — excited to jump into new projects and pick up new tech.
  • Comfortable owning projects and moving quickly with limited hand-holding.
  • Strong communication skills and a high standard of attention to detail.
  • Available to work on-site in NYC for the first six months.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Experience in construction, AEC, or agency/government technology.
  • Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or AWS CDK) and CI/CD.
  • Experience designing multi-agent architectures and tool-calling frameworks.
Estimated Annual Compensation:
$92,000–$100,000 annually
Location:
New York, NY (This is a full-time position, on-site for the first six months and hybrid thereafter, with attendance at team and project meetings as needed)
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive equal opportunity for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, veteran status or other legally protected status.
