Full Stack Python Developer About the role: Are you an experienced Full Stack Python Developer who thrives in enterprise-scale environments and enjoys building robust, cloud-native applications? We're looking for a versatile engineer with deep expertise in Python, AWS, and Terraform to join a leading enterprise client in Plano, TX (Reston, VA may be considered). This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role where you'll design, develop, and deploy mission-critical applications leveraging modern backend and cloud technologies. If you have strong Python development skills, a solid understanding of AWS infrastructure, and the ability to deliver in fast-paced enterprise settings, this opportunity is for you. TLDR for Vendors and Candidates: We are looking for a strong Python Developer with AWS and Terraform expertise.

  • This role is onsite/hybrid in Plano, TX (Reston, VA may be considered).
  • Enterprise-level environment.
  • In-person interview required.
  • No front-end requirement; focus is backend, cloud, and infrastructure automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement backend APIs using Python (Flask or FastAPI).
  • Build scalable, secure, and reliable applications leveraging AWS services.
  • Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
  • Work with GitLab pipelines to support CI/CD across environments.
  • Collaborate with enterprise engineering teams to design and implement microservices architectures.
  • Deploy and monitor applications in AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.).
  • Ensure best practices around security, observability, and high availability.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis.
  • Contribute to technical discussions, solution designs, and enterprise-wide architectural decisions.

Requirements:

  • 3-6+ years of professional experience as a backend or full stack developer.
  • Strong expertise in Python with frameworks like Flask or FastAPI.
  • Proven hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, RDS, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch).
  • Strong Terraform experience (IaC for AWS).
  • Solid experience with CI/CD workflows (preferably GitLab).
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and enterprise-scale systems.
  • Solid knowledge of authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced enterprise environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (required).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Serverless Framework or AWS SAM.
  • Familiarity with observability tools (CloudWatch Logs, X-Ray, etc.).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum development practices.
