Job description

Title: Measurement Engineer - DAQ in Greensboro, NC
Location: Greensboro, North Carolina

Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to provide engineering support for FEATURES, VERIFICATION & VALIDATION (FVV) of product development with the client. The measurement engineer will perform activities related to configuration and troubleshooting of data acquisition systems in the Greensboro facility. The position will be interfacing with internal customers to ensure testing requirements and workload is supported as needed. The candidate will possess in depth knowledge of data acquisition systems, sensors and related applications.
Responsibilities:
* Configure and develop DAQ systems, instrumentation, and data storage processes to support internal customer requests
* Support establishing investment requests and development of roadmap related to data acquisition systems
* Implementation and commissioning of new equipment in collaboration with equipment vendors
* Responsible for planning, organizing, and implementation of projects
* Collaborate with global counterparts to implement and adapt test procedures according to local requirements
* Educate engineers and technicians to efficiently operate data acquisitions systems according to industry best practices
* Updating test method documentation and instructions according to internal procedures
* Develop and improve test procedures related to DAQ systems including report automation

* Minimum BSc degree required; MSc degree in Electrical or Mechanical is preferred
* Solid understanding of vehicle bus systems and their protocols (CAN, Ethernet, LIN)
* 3-5 years working experience with Analog Inputs such as voltage measurement, pressure, frequency, acceleration and temperature is required
* In depth knowledge and experience with metrology fundamentals is required
* Scripting knowledge in Matlab, Python, C#, C++ or similar is desirable
* Previous experience with Dewesoft or Ipetronik is an advantage
* Working experience with CANoe, CANalyzer and/or Kvaser Memorator is desirable
* Microsoft Office and general computer skills is required
* Excellent communication and organizational skills are required
* Great work ethic and attention to details is required
* Ability to efficiently work in teams is necessary
