Job description

achary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to support a company focused on enterprise network modernization, automation, and management of large-scale multi-vendor network environments. This position is 100% onsite at Norfolk, VA or Jacksonville, FL. The Network Engineer will provide engineering, administration, and operational support for enterprise network infrastructure and network management platforms while driving automation, performance optimization, and network reliability initiatives. Join a mission-focused team delivering innovative networking solutions that enhance security, visibility, and operational efficiency across critical enterprise environments.

Responsibilities for the Network Engineer include:
  • Administer, configure, and support enterprise network infrastructure and Network Management Systems (NMS) platforms.
  • Develop and maintain network automation solutions utilizing Python, PowerShell, YAML, and Ansible.
  • Manage network configuration, provisioning, lifecycle administration, and performance optimization across multi-vendor environments.
  • Support firewall administration, Access Control Lists (ACLs), and automated policy enforcement initiatives.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and collaborate with distributed engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues.
Required Qualifications for the Network Engineer include:
  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise network engineering, network operations, infrastructure administration, or network automation environments.
  • Experience with Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Brocade, network security technologies, Cisco Catalyst Center, OpenText NA, OpenText NNMi, and Arista CloudVision.
  • Strong experience with Python, PowerShell, YAML, Ansible, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, Kubernetes, troubleshooting, and network performance optimization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Ability to work onsite in Norfolk, VA or Jacksonville, FL.
Compensation for the Network Engineer include:
  • Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 depending on experience
