Job description

Sr. Python Developer With AI

CGI is seeking a Senior Python Full Stack Developer to support the development of an AI powered Resolution Assistant platform designed to improve incident resolution and operational efficiency within a large scale enterprise environment. This role will focus primarily on backend development using Python and AWS cloud services while contributing to the integration of Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) capabilities. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs and microservices that interact with knowledge bases, databases, workflow orchestration services, and AI models. The platform leverages AWS Bedrock and vector based search technologies to help support teams quickly identify solutions, retrieve relevant knowledge articles, and generate dynamic resolution guidance when existing documentation is unavailable. This position requires strong hands on experience with Python development, cloud native AWS services, API development, and modern software engineering practices. Candidates with exposure to AI/LLM integrations, semantic search, and full stack development using React will be highly valued.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role include: 5+ years of hands on Python development experience, strong Python development experience building enterprise grade applications and services, hands on experience developing RESTful APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks, deep familiarity with AWS services including ECS, RDS/Aurora, Glue, Step Functions, and Bedrock, experience designing and integrating cloud native microservices architectures, solid SQL skills with experience designing and querying relational databases, understanding of Generative AI concepts, embeddings, vector search, and LLM integrations, experience working with AWS Bedrock Knowledge Bases and AI powered applications, ability to integrate applications with workflow orchestration and automation services, knowledge of containerized application deployment and cloud based environments, familiarity with PG Vector or similar vector database technologies is a strong advantage, exposure to front end technologies such as React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is preferred, comfortable working independently in fast paced Agile delivery environments, strong communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills, ability to partner effectively with cross functional teams including support, engineering, and product stakeholders.

Desired Skillset: AWS certifications, particularly those focused on Generative AI, Machine Learning, or Cloud Architecture, are considered a plus but are not required. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Other Information: CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $109,500.00 - $139,300.00. CGI's benefits are offered to eligible professionals on their first day of employment to include: competitive compensation, comprehensive insurance options, matching contributions through the 401(k) plan and the share purchase plan, paid time off for vacation, holidays, and sick time, paid parental leave, learning opportunities and tuition assistance, wellness and well being programs.
